Collectionconsists of photocopies of research documents pertaining to W. Wand's Planing Mills of Peterborough, Ontario and the Peterborough Mattress Company.
This collection consists of transcripts of minutes of the Board of Directors' of the Canadian Land and Emigration Company, 1868-1885, and annual reports of Bronson and Weston, lumber merchants, 1876-1884, with whom the Company did business. Also included are excerpts from the diaries of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Stewart, agent for the company in Haliburton, and their son Charles E. Stewart, 1865-66 and 1870.
Canadian Land and Emigration CompanyFile includes a scenic panoramic titled "Camp Tanamakoon, Summer Camp for Girls, Operated by Miss Mary Hamilton, Algonquin Park Station, Ontario Can." (photographer: P.E. McDonald, ca. 1925). Also includes a photograph album dated 1925 containing approximately 75 photographs of Camp Tanamakoon. The photographs were taken or gathered by Sheila Playfair McGillivray, a senior camper in 1925; a few pertain to logging in Algonquin Park.
