The fonds consists of the diaries of Harriet Pengelley (1835-1836), Robert Pengelley (1835), and A.E. Marguerite (Rita) Pengelley (1940-1941); correspondence; sketchbooks (1829-1830); drawings; and photographs. In 1994, an addition was made to the fonds which included a photocopy of a diary of Robert Pengelley (1837-1840) and textual records regarding the Pengelley family. In 2018, an addition of Pengelley family genealogical information was received. Some of the diaries have typewritten transcripts attached.

• A photocopy of a "Canada 150 Farm Family" certificate issued to the "Pengelley Family" in 2017

• Photocopy of a diary written by Robert Pengelley, December 1837-1840 (diary tells of his return to Canada, his work building his house and barn at Baillieboro, his marriage (second) to Miss Lydia Emily Roach/Roche and the birth of their son in 1840)
• Obituary (October 6, 1986) of Miss Rita Pengelley who apparently had the above original diary in her possession
• Typed information regarding the Pengelley family, received from Miss Rita Pengelley, Pilgrim Cottage, R.R.1, Bailieboro, October 14, 1970
