        History

        The Community Counselling & Resource Centre is a non-profit community-based agency that services the City and County of Peterborough, Ontario. It offers six services: Community Counselling, Community Service Order Program, Credit Counselling Services, Housing Resource Centre, Employee Assistance Program, and Public Education and Advocacy. Its founding agencies were created in 1956 when the Catholic Social Service Bureau was established and in 1971 when Volunteers and Information Peterborough was formed.
