The records of the Northern Chair consist of committee minutes, taped lectures, correspondence, records related to Thomas Berger, Dennis Patterson, Mary Simon, William Taylor, etc. and cover the dates 1986-2003. The records were forwarded to the Archives in 1993 by Peter Kulchisky, in 1996 by John Milloy, and in 1998 by Bruce Hodgins. A further addition of tapes, reels, and videos was received from the Audio-Visual Department in approximately 2012 and added to existing boxes.

The records concern all public relations aspects of Trent University and include many fugitive items from other fonds. They were forwarded to the Archives by Jim English. Many files pertain to student activism in the 1960's at Trent and at other universities, and to the Trent University Founding Fund and Development Fund. Information on convocations, text of honorary degree presentations and photographs is included. The dates covered are for the years 1962-1980.

Most of the materials concern the boat Turtle Two which was owned by the Biology Department at Trent University and used for river-based experiments. The word Turtle was derived from Trent University Research and Teaching Laboratory for Experimental Work. The materials cover the years 1968-1973.

Trent Central Student AssociationThis fonds consists of 82 glass negatives of the Trent Canal waterway including shots of various locks along the route and several industries. Positive prints were made from the negatives in 2004.
Fonds consists of records from the Trent University Athletic Centre, documenting the department's development, its facilities and program offerings, and varsity and intramural sports. Fonds includes records from Paul S.B. Wilson throughout his time as Director (1966-2002). Fonds also consists of records about the growth and development of the Athletics Department including architectural briefs, reports, correspondence, promotional materials, photographs, and slides. There are also many photographs, scrapbooks, and CD’s containing records about intramural, varsity, and community sports. The sports documented include synchronized swimming, rowing, volleyball, basketball, swimming, hockey, squash, soccer, rugby, curling, field hockey, fencing, cycling, and karate. Also included are Michael Treadwell's correspondence and brochures of various racing sailboats, and material gathered from other universities' athletics programs.

Trent Concurrent Education Student AssociationFonds consists of original Assessment books, Collectors' Rolls, Minute Books, Voters' Lists, By-laws and township business correspondence for the Township of Asphodel and the Village of Norwood, County of Peterborough.
Township of Asphodel-NorwoodThis collection consists of two photographs and five prints of various towns. The two photographs are of Port Hope and are hand-coloured. One photograph (item #1) is of Trinity College School before the fire. The other photograph (item #2) is framed and matted. It is of Port Hope's harbour taken from the western hill. There is one coloured reproduction print (item #3) of Port Hope which is matted and framed. This print was presented by Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Lewis to Trent University on the occasion of the opening of Bata Library. There is one print (item #4) of Lindsay which was produced in 1882. Another print (item #5) is entitled "Hastings on the Trent, Ont." and was drawn by Rev. M.A. Farrar and lithographed by Brown and Bautz. Item #6 is a framed black and white photograph of an 1832 pencil sketch of Government House in Peterborough which was drawn by Mary Sanford. The last print (item #7) is a framed coloured reproduction print of York from Gibralter Point from 1828.
This item is a pencil sketch depicting three houses, each of which has two chimneys, with a continuous fence running along the front of all three. There is a woman, man and child walking towards one of the houses. On the back of the sketch is written "#17140 at Roy's Studio, Peterborough". The sketch is most likely by Rev. Michael Farrar and shows Hastings, Canada West.
This item is a map of the Town of Lindsay, Ontario, 1916, drawn by A.E. Guidal. There is a notation on the map which states "Property of Leslie M. Frost.
