These items are copies of the exhibit catalogue for The Birdsall Collection of Bookbinders' Finishing Tools by Emrys Evans and Rachel Grover of the University of Toronto, Department of Rare Books and Special Collections, 1972. One copy is signed by the authors.

Fonds is comprised of 22 diaries authored by Richard Everett Birdsall (1837-1877), son of surveyor Richard Birdsall (1799-1852); Charlotte (“Lot”) Birdsall (1837-1933), [wife of Richard Everett Birdsall]; Francis (Frank) Birdsall (1838-1914), son of surveyor Richard Birdsall (1799-1852); and Richard (“Dick”) Everett Birdsall II ([1860]-1945), [only son of Frank Birdsall]. Also included is family correspondence (photocopies, originals, and transcriptions) dated 1819-1856; these items include original correspondence and militia lists related to the 1837-1838 Rebellion. The fonds also includes loose items from the diaries and two copies of attestation forms for the Seventh Provisional Battalion of Militia of Upper Canada.

File consists of Prof. John Wadland’s subject file on Sandra Birdsell. Includes a newspaper clipping on the biography of Sandra Birdsell.

The fonds consists of a Lay Reader's Licence issued to a Mr. Russell Jack by Bishop Edward Cridge in St. John, New Brunswick, 1876.

File consists of photographs of the Blackburn Hall staff participating in Halloween dostume contests through out the 1990s. Photos include, Joanne War, Jan Carter, Anne Hoover, Sybil Nunn, Carla [Savvotka], Leona Fredericks, Gloria Guppy, Marie Bourbonnais, Jeanne Lynch, Judie Grook, and Colleen Kickey. Photos from 1994 include Glen [Easman], Cheryl Davis, and Joy [Maron].
