Fonds consists of two letters and 5 watercolour paintings. One letter is from Susanna Moodie to Mrs. Katie Vickery, Susanna Moodie's daughter, which is undated. The second letter is from Moodie's her publisher in England congratulating her upon the success of Roughing it in the Bush and enclosing a contract for a subsequent book entitled _Mark Huddleston. The watercolour paintings are by Susanna Moodie and all depict flowers.

File consists of four original watercolours by Susanna Moodie. The works are untitled. All depict flowers: columbine and violets on mossy ground; a single red rose; white roses on a single stem; and a white wild rose entwined on a wood cross on mossy ground. Three of the paintings are signed by Moodie.

The fonds consists of a minute book of the directors of Wallace Point Bridge and Road Company, dated 31 October 1886 to 15 June 1879 and a stock book. The fonds also includes a subscription list of the company's stock holders, dated 31 October 1866 and a plan of a bridge under construction, dated 15 February 1867.

Mild tanning around the edges, slight chipping at the spine head & tail, else very good plus copy in the original wrappers. This fonds consists of correspondence, a petition, and an election poster. One item, the letter of 1827, relates to another Haultain, perhaps Major-General F.M. Haultain. The remainder relates particularly to F.W. Haultain's military and political careers.
