Collection consists of three personal notes written by Catharine Parr Traill to her grand-niece, Agnes Le Fenore. One is a two part card with the cover illustrated with cutout images of a dog and a butterfly along with a wisp of moss glued to the surface. The second part of the card is a warm salutation to Agnes and her family. The date is 24 December 1897. The second item, dated 12 May, is a note of thanks to Agnes for obtaining a cape [and cap?] for her, and also refers to fatigue and the problem of swelling feet. The third item is a letter written 1 April 1899 to "G Niece A F" [Agnes] sending belated sympathy for two in hospital and describing in some detail Traill's own plight, and the care offered by Kate and Katie.

Fonds consists of materials relating to the Canadian Federation of University Women and the Canadian Federation of University Women Peterborough Club. Materials include minutes, accounting records, notes and brochures relating to "Women, Water and Well-Being" (the Canadian Federation of University Women Annual General Meeting and Conference held in Peterborough, Ontario, May 2007). This accession also contains documents which were damaged in the Peterborough flood of 2004 and which were salvaged and conserved through the efforts of Rosco in Montreal. One file relates to Susan Scott's "Dancing Graduates" used as the CFUW logo since 1987.

This collection consists of six published articles and booklets relating to Mary Northway, W.E. Blatz, the Brora Centre and child psychology. It also consists of two photographs, one of Taylor Statten at Camp Ahmek in 1929, and one of Camp Ahmek council members in 1923, with accompanying key to names. Also included is a share certificate issued to Marian Gibson by John Northway and Son, Limited, and 1982 reminiscences of Mary Northway of her days at Glen Bernard Camp.

This addition to the fonds consists of slide-tape presentation material which includes tapes and slides with a list of contents of the University Women's Club of Winnipeg, 1974; CFUW Journals; minutes, membership lists, and a "Tribute to Margaret White", of the University Women's Club, Peterborough; minutes, reports, and financial reports, etc. of the CFUW annual meeting Edmonton, 1989. Additional records were added in 1991 and 1992 which include CFUW Journals, tributes to Mrs. Vera Hickey and Miss Mildred Bailey; minutes of meetings including the Annual General Meeting; tributes to Miss Helen McGregor and Miss Katherine Macdougall; the constitution of the club and the "Long Range Plan" of June, 1990.

Stewart-Dunlop fonds

This fonds consists of photocopied correspondence of the Stewart and Dunlop families. Most of the letters are to Ellen Dunlop (daughter of Frances Browne Stewart) from Frances Stewart, Catharine Parr Traill and Harriet Beaufort as well as James Wallis. Also included is a Stewart family tree.

There is also an annotated copy of editor John Garvin's Canadian Poets.

Charles Latimer fonds

This fonds consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous documents. The creator of the fonds, Charles Latimer is nephew of Donald Sheridan who was a member of the Industrial Workers of the World (the Wobblies). Along with nearly 100 associates, including correspondents represented in this fonds such as David Ingar and Richard Brazier, Sheridan was sentenced to Leavenworth prison for expressing anti-capitalist, anti-militarist opinions during World War I.

It also includes business correspondence, invoices, some journals and cashbooks, mortgages as well as deeds regarding the business of Henry Fowlds, Jas. S. Fowlds and Bros. and H.M. Fowlds. In December 2001, Trent University Archives launched an online exhibit which depicts Helen Fowld's experiences in World War I. The item is a microfilm copy of a scrapbook compiled by D.S. Cruther's grandmother containing obituaries and pictures of all kinds of events, from such journals as the Illustrated London News, Harper's Weekly, etc. The scrapbook is a good study of the social, architectural, art and other interests of a Mid-Victorian Canadian woman.
