Collection is comprised of approximately 4200 slides of photographs pertaining primarily to the Canadian and Greenland Arctic. The photographs were taken during the 1970s to 1990s by Roger Buxton and are identified and dated. Also included are aerial views of Trent University (14 September 1985), photographs of the aftermath of the Barrie, Ontario tornado (31 May 1985), and photographs of family and scenic landscapes.

Many of the Roche Bay photographs are of lithics analyzed by Neale for her Trent University Master’s thesis. Also included in the fonds are personal, academic, and family records.

Fonds is comprised of audio tapes, scrapbooks and photographs related to Betty Lynn Viney’s experience as a student at Trent University from 1965 to 1969.

This fonds consists of research in the 19th and 20th century Canadian historical geography, specifically emigration and settlement from British Isles to Upper Canada, the Trent Canal use during WWII, the environmental and cultural consequences of flooding from the Trent Canal dam in the late 19th century, and research on Bon Echo, Algonquin, and Banff National Parks. Research is also included on European migration and land settlement patterns and processes in Cape Province, South Africa in the early 19th century and in Western Australia in the early 20th century. Included in the research materials are several maps, a small collection of photo negatives, and microfilm reels.

Fonds is comprised of personal and professional correspondence, newspaper clippings, honorary degrees and other documents pertaining to the life and career of Thomas H.B Symons. The newspaper clippings are on the subject of French as a second language in Ontario schools, the Sturgeon Falls School Crisis (1971), and the Ministerial Commission on French Language Secondary Education. Some of the correspondence and other documents pertain to the Mulholland Family (1961-1965).

Included are some of Glenn Madill’s employment records, correspondence between Marisa Scigliano and archival repositories, photocopies of articles, personal notes, maps, posters, etc. Included are photographs forming the ‘Moccasin Madness’ and ‘Magnetic Moccasins’ parts of Scigliano’s ‘Moccasin Mania’ exhibit: approximately 33 enlarged mounted colour photographs taken by Scigliano on the Symons Campus, Trent University, in the fall of 2013; 16 enlarged black and white photographs taken by Madill in the 1920s during his northern expeditions (images found through research at the National Research Council).

Fonds includes photographs and textual records about the student life of Brenda Brownlee, Class of 1966, at Trent University. Folders include admission letters and correspondence from Trent university and the University of Toronto, convocation programs (1969, 1970), and Brownlee’s academic records. Also included are production programs for “Gilbert and Sullivan,” “Patience,” and “The Mikado,” along with 13 small black and white photographs of the rehearsal of The Mikado (1970). There are also 3 larger black and white photos of the Champlain College exterior buildings. Additionally included is a booklet related to the Trent Development Fund, titled “An Individual Experience,” which contains several black and white photos of Trent University campus, and additional information.

Fonds consists of material relating to the administration and programming of the INSTRUCT Programme. Files includes reports, journal articles, event flyers, pamphlets, correspondence, newsletters, budget reports, research material, and other documentation detailing the Programme in both English and Spanish. Photographs and slides include images of meetings, travel, seminars and work done with local communities in Ecuador and Mexico and at Trent University. VHS tapes includes a recording of the “Questioning” Conference panel, the conservation of the Imbkucha and Lago san Pablo watershed, and on the festival of Inti Raymi. CD-ROMs include photos of an INSTRUCT workshop on women and environment and another on local traditions.

Fonds consists of material relating to the research and initiatives the Trent-Fleming Trail Studies Unit engaged in. Files include correspondence, reports, research material, pamphlets, brochures, conference materials, and other materials. Photographs document the Northumberland Forest trails. CD-ROMS documents project reports. VHS tape documents the television coverage of the Rails to Greenways Conference (1993). Fonds consists of records of the Trent University PC (Progressive Conservative) Club, a student organization, from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Records include PC Club minutes, correspondence, and other papers, as well as materials issued by the Progressive Conservative Youth Federation (PCYF) Ontario Progressive Conservative Student Association (OPCSA), and Progressive Conservative National Headquarters. The first file in the fonds contains a handwritten "list of materials from Trent PC Club turned over to government documents section, Bata Library," dated May 2, 1973, and includes a list of the contents of these files.

This fonds consists of the administrative and academic records created during Professor Kenneth Kidd's career at Trent University. The fonds has been arranged into three distinct series: administrative, academic, and materials related to the development of the native studies program at Trent University. It includes: committee minutes; correspondence, especially relating to the Departments of Anthropology and Native Studies; and manuscripts of works on glass beads, which were later published. There are also brochures, programs and papers from learned societies.

Also included are photocopies of articles about Seton and research notes for Professor John Wadland's thesis "Ernest Thompson Seton: Man in Nature and the Progressive Era, 1880-1915." Also contained within the fonds are original records and brochures, photographs, and slides.
