Also included are genealogical records related to the Cummings and MacCallum families, a photocopy of a book written by Harley Cummings entitled Cummings-MacCallum: A Tale of Two Families; notes and other materials related to the teaching career of Cummings; three photographs: Hon. Thos. Mackay's Mills, Distillery etc. and part of New Edinburgh, Rideau Falls, New Edinburgh, from Railway Bridge, and an unidentified photo similar to the previous two; and three maps: 1. Bell (1976), Domal-Marine Div. (1980), Marvin McDermot (1982), and J. Webster (1982).

Materials in this fonds relate to Gentle Patriot (biography of Walter Gordon); Diplomacy of Fear (Canadian/American relations during the period of the cold war). Also included are materials generated by Smith as editor of the Canadian Forum and the Journal of Canadian Studies.

Collection consists of 12 leather-bound volumes of the plays of William Shakespeare, with "Thos. A. Stewart" bookplates glued on the inside cover of each volume. The volumes are numbered I through XII. Volume XII includes the following bibliographic information: "The Plays of William Shakespeare, from the correct edition of Isaac Reed, Esq., London, Printed for Vernor, Hood and Sharpe, Poultry; and Taylor and Hessey, Fleet Street. 1809." On the final page of each volume, except for Volumes I and II, the following additional information appears: "Stereotyped and printed by A. Wilson, Duke Street, Lincoln's-Inn Fields, London." On the final page of Vol. I, the following information appears: "Stereotyped by Andrew Wilson." Vol. I has the following additional names hand-written on the bookplate: "George A. Stewart", "Louis B. Stewart", and "[B] [ ] Stewart". Volumes III, VI, and VIII have "George A. Stewart" added to the bookplate. Handwritten on the bookplate for Vol. IV is "Thos. A. Stewart"; this may be Stewart's signature.

Collection consists of pamphlets, flyers, newsletters, and government reports regarding agricultural policy, issues, and regulations, especially pertaining to the Durham County region. Subjects include soil conditions, pesticide and herbicide use, etc.
