Series consists of awards and memorabilia documenting Peter Gzowski's education and professional development from high school through retirement. The series also contains awards given to Gzowski throughout his career, as well as books, letters, and newspaper clippings related to his death in 2002. Included in this series are photographs of award ceremonies, professional photographs, photographs of Gzowski's family, university assignments, copies of magazines and newspapers where Gzowski has published work, and drawings of Gzowski. This series also contains personal records, such as Gzowski's baby books (1934-[1939?]) and several volumes of memorial books (2002).

Series documents Peter Gzowski's research activities between 1960-2001. Records consist of research material, correspondence, published and unpublished writing, and Peter Gzowski's handwritten notes. Included are records relating to Gzowski's research on Stephen Leacock (1995), correspondence and a proof for Gzowski's chapter on the art of W.O. Mitchell (1997), notes for the Sixth Morningside Papers book (1996-1997), and undated drafts and notes of Gzowski's memoir. Series also contains Gzowski's proposal for "Little Book of Canada" (1984), "This Country" book reviews (1974-1975), and correspondence, notes, and research related to Gzowski and Co. (1985-1986), especially correspondence from Glenn Sarty, the show's executive producer.

This series consists of scrapbooks and files of newspaper clippings documenting athletics at Trent. Most scrapbooks include newspaper clippings from local newspapers (The Peterborough Examiner, Peterborough This Week, and the Arthur). Scrapbooks and newspaper clippings highlight competitions and sporting events related to Trent Varsity teams and local athletic achievements, and personal achievements by local athletes on an international level such as the Olympics.

Series documents Peter Gzowski's tenure at the CBC (1971-1997), especially his work on Morningside (1982-1997). Records consist of correspondence, notes, logs, fact sheets, newspaper clippings, proposals, programs, and receipts. A significant amount of material relates to the final broadcast of Morningside (1997), as well as some long-running segments from the show, such as The Bhutan Program and Border Letters. Correspondence consists of internal business communication from CBC and Gzowski's producer, Shelley Ambrose, as well as listener letters.
